Assassin’s Creed 3 PC Version Rumored to be Delayed

Well, history has it that AC games have always checked in late for the PC platform, and if fresh rumors are to be believed, Assassin’s Creed 3 will unsurprisingly be released for Windows a while later than its console counterparts. The same trend was observed during the launches of AC II in 2009, AC: Brotherhood in 2010 and AC: Revelations in 2011.

Eurogamer has managed to get hold of an image of the title’s promotional image which was submitted to the website’s Czech Republic branch by a publishing source. It looks to be of one of the special editions for the game which were unveiled in March this year. At the bottom, it has been stated that the game will release for PC on November 23, 2012.

Although it’s not sure as to why Ubisoft has this routine of pushing the launch dates of PC titles, its strict anti-piracy measures can be cited to be the reasons for the delays. Ubisoft hasn’t till date commented on this issue. In the past, other titles like Splinter Cell Conviction have also borne the brunt of the late PC release policy of this publisher.

AC 3 was first announced in March this year, and will be released for the PS3 and Xbox 360 on October 31. A Wii U version which is scheduled to arrive during this holiday season is also in the pipeline. Moreover, there’s even a spin-off title named Assassin’s Creed 3 Liberation warming up to hit the PS Vita along with the console versions.

Ubisoft is yet to confirm an official release date for Assassin’s Creed 3 PC, but rumors have almost confirmed that the game would be out in November this year.
