F1 2012 Release Date Disclosed

Formula One fans will be able to jump into the virtual cockpits of their favorite mean machines from F1 2012 as early as September 21. This release date applies to each of the three platforms the game is slated to launch on, namely the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.

Codemasters has released a new developer diary of the game which is aimed at providing fans with some more details regarding the title. It focuses on Young Driver Test, which is a name for the title’s tutorial mod. It supposedly does the work of teaching players about the nuances of racing in an F1 car. This developer diary can be spotted below, and fans will be happy to know that it even has some gameplay footage inside it.

“The aim for the 2012 game is to make more of a complete FORMULA ONE experience. [The Young Driver Test] gives those up and coming drivers track time to showcase their talents and it’s wonderful that we are able to copy the elements that happen on those real Young Driver Test sessions in the game,” the game’s Creative Director, Stephen Hood shared.

With its improved control and feedback attributes, the game is claimed by the developer to be ready to deliver the most accessible and immersive Formula One experience to its players. It will even be seen featuring tutorial Hot Lap videos for each circuit, all of which will be narrated by former F1 driver and TV pundit Anthony Davidson.

The F1 2012 release date can be noted to be September 21. It can be pre-ordered now at a price of 59.99 USD (approx. Rs. 3,315).
