Back in October, the company revealed information about the console with its Japanese release date. As the giant doffed the covers off the system, its two-screen structure with 3D representation without special glasses uncovered a new style of gameplay straining at the leash. Embedded with a built-in motion sensor and gyro sensor, it offers a swift response for extending an optimum taste of 3D gaming. Additionally, its newly integrated Circle Pad enables players to perform a full 360 degrees of direction.

“Nintendo 3DS is a category of one – the experience simply doesn’t exist anywhere else. You have to see Nintendo 3DS to believe it. And it’s like nothing you’ve ever seen before,” remarked Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime.

Pre-loaded with numerous titles, applications and features, the 3DS comes equipped with three cameras. It also facilitates gamers to earn in-game points for purchasing additional content and applications while an upgraded Internet browser will be dispatched for the system through an update. With this, players can use the SpotPass and StreetPass feature to access the web and exchange information with other devices, respectively. The latter can be employed for transferring Mii character data, maps for games, scores and other content. Besides, the Mii Maker application makes it easy for users to create new characters while the memory of the hardware can be expanded with an external memory card.

The company has also taken into consideration any negative effect which could affect players, especially those under the age of six years. For such gamers, a parental lock system has been introduced into the innovation, allowing paents to fasten the 3D mode. While the access to the 3D mode is blocked, players can immerse into fun charted out by 2D games. Further, the fun quotient has been amplified with the six-augmented reality cards dubbed AR cards.
