Super Monkey Ball Coming for Nintendo 3DS Next Year

The list of games for the 3DS has been expanding at frequent intervals with newer announcements coming from different corners of the gaming arena. Sometime back, Capcom unveiled Mega Man Legends 3 Project and Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D for the system. Now, Sega has revealed that the Super Monkey Ball series will land onto the 3D handheld console in 2011.

The developer has divulged that Super Monkey Ball will unleash advanced interactivity levels while infusing fun in the overall gameplay. It will immerse the 3DS scene with four beloved monkey characters dubbed AiAi, MeeMee, GonGon and Baby. Introducing new game modes, this chapter will uncover new gameplay alternatives such as single-player puzzles, Monkey Race and Monkey Flight.

Toshiro Nagoshi, Creator and Developer of the Super Monkey Ball Franchise, enunciated, “The moment I saw the features of the Nintendo 3DS, I could not help thinking how perfectly Super Monkey Ball would work on this new hardware. Gamers can yield amusing experience by gathering all bananas at a rapid speed in this colorful world. They will have to navigate smoothly through puzzle mazes with either the Nintendo 3DS motion sensor or the slide pad. Besides, using wireless connection of the Nintendo 3DS will enable them to indulge in the title with up to four players.

Super Monkey Ball for Nintendo 3Ds will be available next year. We’ve are yet to hear about the exact availability and pricing details of the title.
