Capcom Reveals Two New Titles for Nintendo 3DS

This week, the gaming circuit has been buzzing with news about the Nintendo 3DS. At the recently held Nintendo Conference 2010, the company announced the release dates of the handheld console for the Japanese market. During the convention, Capcom took curtains off two titles dubbed Mega Man Legends 3 Project and Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D for the 3DS.

Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D

With these new projects, the gaming giant will enable players to derive an amazing Mega Man Legends and Resident Evil experience in 3D. The next chapter in the Mega Man Legends series unlocks a new door for gamers which will help them to interact directly with the team behind the development of this title.

“We have wanted to create a new installment in this series for a number of years. And it is great that we now have the opportunity to bring this title to the Nintendo 3DS,” commented Mega Man Legends 3 Project’s Executive Producer, Keiji Inafune.

Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D thrusts players to crush enemies, setting a race against time. The game will transform Mercenaries missions from Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5 into a three dimensional space while facilitating gamers to engage in new modes. Blending together well known characters from the franchise with Nintendo 3DS’ Wi-Fi connectivity, the new title makes it possible for players to indulge in an enriching co-op gameplay.

Mega Man Legends 3 Project and Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D are currently under development. We’ve not yet heard official word about their release dates and other details. However, the company has announced that it will uncover some more information about Mega Man Legends 3 Project at this month’s New York Comic-Con.
