With over 180 Mii characters already available, gamers can customize the looks of their Mii counterpart with the camera integrated into the system. According to the report, players will also be able to convert these characters into a QR code to share it with friends. Clicking a picture of this code with the system will automatically retrieve the characters, enhancing the overall experience. Besides, the Tag Mode Mii Plaza can be used to view collected characters.

The 3DS has been designed to perform multiple tasks, allowing gamers to launch programs such as a ‘Memory Notebook’ while playing a game. It will come with a 2GB SD card to enable easy photo transfer while its Wi-Fi aware capability will constantly download data from compatible hotspots. In addition, the company has unrolled its 3DS microsite in Japan which extends supplementary information about the product.

Nintendo 3DS will apparently hit stores in Japan on February 26, 2011 with a price tag of 25,000 yen (approx. Rs. 13,420). The dates for the offering’s North American and European release haven’t been revealed yet. However, rumors suggest that the console will sail across to these markets in March next year.
