“Seeing 3D visuals without the need for special glasses is just one aspect of Nintendo 3DS,” explained Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime. “The real test of any system is whether the games and applications draw you in and keep you engaged. Through the launch window and beyond, Nintendo 3DS delivers.”

Amongst the numerous games which will advent into the realm this March, Nintendo-published Pilotwings Resort, Steel Driver and nintendogs + cats titles are touted to extend varied experiences. An aerial adventure in the skies of the tropical Wuhu Island, Pilotwings Resort has been crafted with airplanes, hang gliders and rocket belts. Steel Driver combines the strategy and combat genre in a submarine whereas nintendogs + cats unfolds an interactive pet game. Additionally, the company will later launch games such as The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Star Fox 64 3D and Kid Icarus: Uprising for the 3DS.

Third-party publishers who have been designing their offerings for this system too will add zing into this space. These include Capcom’s Super Street Fighter IV 3D, Combat of Giants: Dinosaurs 3D, Rayman 3D and Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Shadow Wars from Ubisoft. Besides, Ridge Racer 3D from Namco Bandai Games, Sega’s Super Monkey Ball, Bust-A-Move Universe by Square Enix and Tecmo Koei’s Samurai Warriors: Chronicles too will release alongside the hardware. The Sims, Madden NFL Football, Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 3D and Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars have also been scheduled to land with the device.
