Nintendo is surely going to remember the year 2008 as lots of rumors pertaining to their handheld gaming console, the DS emerged. Last time, there were rumors about a touchscreen Nintendo DS, but Nintendo was keeping quiet on about them. Now reports in the Japanese media point out that Nintendo is apparently planning to come out with a new DS.
Japanese news website Nikkei Net is reporting that Nintendo will soon introduce a DS that has a camera and music playback. What’s more, the reports in the Japanese media indicate that the images taken with the DS camera can be used in the games. Apparently, the Wi-Fi capability of the handheld also gets an upgrade.
The new DS is expected to be released in Japan this year by Nintendo. As for the price of the new Nintendo DS with camera and music playback, it will be apparently priced below 20,000 yen. Presently the Nintendo DS comes with a price tag of 16,800 yen (approx. Rs. 7400) in Japan.
