One of the most recurring rumors of 2008 is that Nintendo coming up with a new version of their handheld gaming console, the DS. There were lots of speculations before and during this year’s E3 that they would be unveiling a new Nintendo DS. But E3 2008 came and went, but no announcement from the gaming company.
Now gaming blog Kotaku reported that quite a few industry sources outside of Nintendo were speculating about them apparently working on a new DS featuring not only bigger screens but two touch screens. However, those reports do not seem to be true as Nintendo has told gaming news website GamesIndustry.biz that they do not comment on rumors and has said that such talks are rumor and speculation.
The article on Kotaku also pointed out that Nintendo would be making such an announcement of the new DS featuring two touch screens only next year. But it would be great if a new re-designed Nintendo DS is released, especially with a bigger screen!
