FFXIV: A Realm Reborn is said to have been rebuilt from the ground up. The story of this MMORPG revolves around the core concept of rebirth, and features an entirely new world for series fans to explore. The original game was launched exclusively for PC in Septembers 2010. But owing to its initial reception and staff changes in Square Enix, the company decided that it should be re-released entirely, this time also for the PS3.

Naoki Yoshida, producer/director of Final Fantasy XIV, revealed, “Since announcing our plans for the future of the title last October, we have been working tirelessly to include all of the elements that we have promised in Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. This new title not only becomes a symbol of a completely new Final Fantasy XIV, but also marks the beginning of a new stage as the latest title in the Final Fantasy series. I hope you’re looking forward to it!”

This game transpires mainly in a region named Eorzea which is situated in a land called Hydaelyn. The new version will be built using a fresh graphics engine and will feature diverse server and data structures, a revamped interface, redesigned maps, gameplay variations and new playable sexes of some races.

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn will be released for the PS3 and PC in 2013.
