Lips Game to Get Add-on Tracks Throughout May 2009 via Xbox Live: Microsoft

Lips is the music game from Microsoft for the Xbox 360. Recently Microsoft said that the wireless Lips microphones would be compatible with other music games. This May 15 more tracks will be added to the Lips library of songs, which can be purchased from the Xbox Live Marketplace or the in-game Get Music store.

Already released this month, on May 1, 2009 were the songs Dance Floor Anthem (I Don’t Want to Be In Love) by Good Charlotte, Hard To Handle by The Black Crowes and Why Does It Always Rain On Me? by Travis. Coming on May 8, 2009 are three tracks, Clocks by Coldplay, Turning Japanese by The Vapors and You Get What You Give by The New Radicals.

A week after that on May 15, 2009 the library will get four songs, three from the pop R&B group New Edition. John Denver’s Country Roads will be released along with New Edition’s Cool It Now, If It Isn’t Love, and Mr. Telephone Man. The three songs from New Edition will be available as a pack called the New Edition Song Pack.

On May 22, 2009 three more songs will be released including 100 Years by Five For Fighting, Achy Breaky Heart by Billy Ray Cyrus, and Lollipop by Mikka. Lastly, a week later, on May 29, 2009 the last three songs for the month will be added to the Lips library. These include Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol, Life Is A Rollercoaster by Ronan Keating and I Miss You by Blink 182.

Individual songs will be available for 160 Microsoft Points each and the New Edition Song Pack will be available on May 15, 2009 for 440 Microsoft Points.
