Amidst news that Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is all set to star in another Hollywood adaptation of a video game, the makers of Among Us have made a cryptic tweet. It contains the image of a Crewmate having buff arms like those of the former WWE superstar.
It would be foolish to assume that the video game movie in question will be based on the social deduction game. However, this tweet could mean that an Among Us character with the likeness of The Rock could be coming to the game.
Besides, it’s already being speculated that that video game movie that he will be appearing in will be a massive action game, which by no means is the description of Among Us. Another possibility is that the tweet could be nothing but a joke but we doubt that the game’s devs would go out of their way to create the artwork in question just to reply to a particular tweet. Among Us has been on quite a roll lately. Late last year, the game made its way to PlayStation and Xbox consoles, and there has been a steady stream of new content being sent its way as well.
Among Us was released way back in 2018 as an online social deduction that asks Crewmates of a spaceship to identify and eject the Imposters among them. As for the Imposters, their job is to kill all the Crewmates without anyone finding out their true identity.
The game gained immense popularity in 2020 due to the stay-at-home orders of the pandemic. In fact, its makers, who were planning on releasing a sequel eventually decided to release all the planned new features for the same game.
