A reboot to the popular yesteryear franchise, Syndicate has finally hit store shelves in North America for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. Fast-paced action and futuristic settings that involve gamers in a new chip breach gameplay mechanic are all apparently on offer with this title, which is slated to reach European shores on February 24, 2012.
A dark and Machiavellian world set in 2069 will be seen in this game, with all mega corporations vying for market dominance. And as there is no government for them to answer to, these conglomerates are involved in intense conflicts. Gamers would be required to control Miles Kilo, who is Eurocorp’s latest prototype agent selected to embark on a brutal action adventure that is filled with corruption and revenge. This story is all set to feature the voice acting talents of movie artists like Rosario Dawson and Brian Cox.
The chip breach mechanic that we’ve mentioned above involves a DART 6 bio-chip technology which has been implanted in the head of Miles, allowing him to dilate time, see through walls and breach the digital world as well as enemies around him. Apart from the story mode, a four-player co-op mode also makes its way into the title in the form of nine missions that have been re-imagined from the original 1993 game. Available to play online as well as offline, this mode will be accessible to all gamers, without the need for them to activate any online passes.
Syndicate can be purchased now in North America for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC at a price of 59.99 USD (approx. Rs. 2,960). It will be outed in Europe on February 24.
