Syndicate Voice Cast Revealed, Ropes in Brian Cox and Rosario Dawson

Starbreeze Studios along with EA have revealed the Hollywood cast of their upcoming game Syndicate, which will feature Rosario Dawson of Men in Black II and Sin City fame as well as Brian Cox who starred in The Bourne Identity, Troy and X2. The actors will step into the shoes of ruthless executives who are part of the most aggressive syndicate known as EuroCorp.

Rosario Dawson takes on the role of Lily Drawl who is plagued with a conflicted psyche. A rising star in the company, she is pitted between the underground resistance to the syndicate’s iron fist and her corporate generals. The other talents acquired for the title include Brian Cox and Michael Wincott who lend their voices to the characters of Jack Denham and Jules Merit, respectively. The former is the unforgiving power at the boardroom while the latter is looked upon as a senior agent who spearheaded many endeavors which went against the Aspari corporation.

“Syndicate immerses players deep into a dystopian world of unscrupulous corporations and chip augmented enforcers,” revealed Mikael Nermark, CEO of Starbreeze Studios. “These agents are the weapons of this war for market dominance and we needed strong talent to represent these intense characters. We are honored to have worked with the incredible Rosario Dawson, Brian Cox and Michael Wincott to make this world come alive.”

Syndicate is noted to be a reimagining of the 1993 cult classic from EA. This brutal first person shooter, which is coupled with sci-fi elements, supposedly offers quick paced action complete with futuristic background settings. The title also includes an innovative gameplay mechanic that allows players to violently reach in and extract the mind-controlling chips that are fitted into the brains of the people.

Syndicate is scheduled to hit North America on February 21, while gamers strewn across Europe can get their hands on the title a few days later on February 24, 2012. This offering which will be released for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, is now up for pre-order at a price of 59.99 USD (approx. Rs. 2,945).
