Version2Games now announces that its premier title dubbed Smash ‘N’ Survive is all set to release on February 22, 2012. This offering has been under development for around 18 months and is now ready to zoom across the gaming highway. As the company suggests, the core gameplay element of the upcoming offering is vehicle combat.
The title is also infused with various attributes such as the physics-based tornado which enables players to crush their foes with the destructive help of the powerful whirlwind. Besides this environmental weapon, there are maps that offer crushers, catapults and other objects to achieve brutal results. According to the official European PlayStation blog, this entrant is not one that encourages mindless brawling and in order to excel, players must strategically plan out their attacks. Each weapon along with its behavior is said to be of the unique sort.
There are 10 maps strewn across the plains of the game, some of which cover huge levels and even a few small arenas for variety. Furthermore, the inclusion of more than 30 concept cars complete with melee weapons is thrown into the action arena. Some of the artillery options feature the likes of brutal plungers, saws, blades and even a magneto repulsor.
There is a campaign mode packed with 19 missions, each with its own primary and secondary objectives which on completion, will unlock new game modes, cars and maps. The featured modes include survival, territory control, team deathmatch and planting a bomb. Players who prefer to share the action can indulge in 4- to 5-hour sessions in the non-stop versus mosh pit mode.
The price of Smash ‘N’ Survive is tagged at 12.99 Euros (approx. Rs. 846) and it can be expected to hit PSN on February 22, 2012.
