That Call of Duty Black Ops 2 will feature zombies content is no biggie, but a new revelation has pointed out that it might not only be limited to a special multiplayer mode, like in the earlier title. An Amazon listing of the game has sparked off many a speculation, as it seems to be indicating that the title will also be featuring zombie gameplay as a ‘campaign option.’
The undead made their first appearance in a CoD game through a dedicated multiplayer mode in World at War which came out in 2008. In 2010, the first Black Ops title was launched with a similar mode. But never has there been a CoD game with zombies featuring in its single-player mode. The Amazon description which is at the heart of the matter was spotted by Kotaku recently. It reads, ‘The inclusion of a Zombies [sic] in gameplay, both in as an option in multiplayer, and as a campaign option.’
Black Ops 2 is slated to arrive for the PS3, Xbox 360 as well as PC on November 13, 2012. It will even be released as a launch title for the Wii U console which comes out on November 18. The game can be pre-ordered now in the form of standard copies as well as two special versions titled Hardened and Care Package Editions. While the former contains added in-game features, the latter comes with real-world items that include an actual remote-controlled drone.
Nothing about any form of a Zombies campaign for Call of Duty Black Ops 2 has been revealed officially by either Activision or Treyarch. Well have more on it when or if they do.
