Well, special editions come with all kinds of stuff these days, but we never expected an actual remote-controlled drone to be included in one; Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 has amazed us with its Hardened and Care Package Editions which were unveiled recently. The latter is the one which has the copter bundled with it, and folks wishing to buy it must know that it will set them back by a huge 179.99 USD (approx. Rs. 10,000).
Dubbed the Care Package Edition, this bundle will come wrapped up in a crate which apparently resembles reward crates that can be found in the game’s multiplayer. It contains a copy of the title which is enclosed in a 2-sided Steelbook cover. The copter that we talked about is a remote-controlled MQ-27 Dragonfire Drone which can be seen in the video below.
Two collectible Challenge Coins, an official soundtrack disc and two avatar rewards (Xbox 360) or dynamic multiplayer and Zombies themes (PS3) also make their way into this limited version. Besides, even in-game content will be dished out with the Care Package Edition. This includes the Nuketown 2025 map, a Nuketown Zombies map, an exclusive weapon camo, a multiplayer player card background and a Zombies player card background.
The lower-priced Hardened Edition will kick in the same 2-sided Steelbook. Furthermore, it will also comprise 2 collectible Challenge Coins, an official soundtrack disc and avatar rewards (Xbox 360) or dynamic themes (PS3). And that’s not all; every in-game bonus that’s included within the Care Package Edition will also be dished out with the Hardened Edition.
These two special versions of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 are available to pre-order now for the PS3 and Xbox 360. While the Care Package Edition is priced at 179.99 USD (approx. Rs. 10,000), the Hardened Edition sells at 79.99 USD (approx. Rs. 4,455). The game is slated to arrive in stores on November 13, 2012.
