Battlefield Premium Might be EA’s Elite-like Service for BF3

Rumor has it that E3 will be the stage on which EA plans to announce Battlefield Premium, its own content delivery service for BF3 on the lines of CoD’s Elite program. It has also come to light that apart from the three expansion packs announced for Battlefield 3 till now, one more might just drop in during March of 2013.

Battlefield 3 1

A ‘very reliable source’ has broken the news to Battlefieldo about this new service. Just like CoD: Elite, this too will comprise content drops and in-game items that will not be available anywhere else. And as far as the tracking of statistics is concerned, BF3 already has its Battlelog social platform which can be utilized by gamers in order to build a network of friends, communicate with others and show off their game stats.

The information provided by Battlefieldo’s source, reads, “Battlefield Premium will land you a number of content drops with unique in-game items not available anywhere else. First out is the one-of-a-kind Premium knife and black dog tag, plus a set of soldier camos, weapon camos, dog tags and Assignments that will make sure you stand out and get more personalization options.”

There are also possibilities of a fifth expansion pack being announced along with the Premium service. No name has been conferred to it as of yet. The other packs that are slated to launch for BF3 later this year include Close Quarters, Armored Kill and End Game. Battlefield 3 was released last year in October, and grabbed an Overall rating of 9/10 in our review of it.

If anything such as Battlefield Premium exists, it is only expected to be confirmed by EA during this year’s E3 which commences next month. We’ll keep you posted with all the details regarding the Los Angeles event.
