Earlier blessed only with an ambiguous December release window, The Walking Dead Season 2 has finally received a concrete release date of its own. December 17 has been marked down as the date on which its first episode will be released by Telltale Games. This information has been given away by the game’s Steam listing, and hence it has been confirmed that at lease the PC version will be arriving on the said date.
Apart from Windows and Mac, this title is slated to be released for the PS3, Xbox 360, PS Vita as well as for next-gen consoles like the PS4 and the Xbox One. Details regarding its arrival on these platforms can be expected to arrive soon. Moreover, an iOS version is also supposed to be in the works. On Steam, the entire Season 2 of The Walking Dead can be pre-purchased right now at a price of 22.49 USD (approx. Rs 1,500) which is a discounted value cutting off 10 percent of its actual cost.
Based on Robert Kirkman’s award-winning comic book series, The Walking Dead tells the story of a zombie apocalypse, and its emotional consequences on the surviving humans. Season 1 of this game consisted of five episodes which were all extremely well received by fans and critics alike. In Season 2, we have a new playable character in the form of Clementine, and in keeping with the game’s norm, the decisions you made in Season 1 and its 400 Days DLC will hold significance in these new chapters.
