North American gamers might already be soaking in the bullet time action of Max Payne 3, but the game will be released in India only tomorrow via a midnight launch event to be held in Mumbai. A branch of Games The Shop, located in Oberoi Mall, Goregaon (E) will be outing the title first while also offering freebies and discounts to attendees.
12 a.m. onwards on May 18, visitors of the shop will get to witness the official release of Rockstar Games’ latest outing. All those present will be able to grab for themselves some freebies related to the title as they walk inside the store. Moreover, those who decide to purchase the game during this event will get to avail of a 5 percent discount on it, apart from free extra bonus content.
Meanwhile, news has come out that a free Gorilla Warfare Pack has already gone live on PSN and Xbox Live, as the game has already been released in North America. This DLC comprises three items that can be added by gamers into their multiplayer loadouts. While the Gorilla Mask item gives them extra adrenaline for melee kills from behind, the Lucky Coin item endows extra cash when looting bodies. Lastly, the Booby Trap item turns players’ corpses into booby traps that explode on being looted by others. This pack will also be doled out for the PC version of this game upon its release later on.
The Max Payne 3 midnight launch in India for the PS3 and Xbox 360 can be witnessed by all those who decide to visit Oberoi Mall in Goregaon (E), Mumbai at 12 a.m. on May 18, 2012.
