The Amazing Spider-Man has its release coming up on June 26, 2012, and gamers who decide to pre-order this title will have a chance to choose between two extra missions – one which lets them play as Rhino, and the other one as Stan Lee himself. GameStop and Amazon are offering these two incentives for a limited period of time, till supplies last.
Those who reserve their copies from GameStop will be able to grab the Rhino Challenge which has the genetically engineered villain rampaging around Manhattan in an exclusive gameplay challenge described to contain pure destruction. This timed event will supposedly be filled with combo streaks and destructible environments. Only the game’s PS3 and Xbox 360 versions will be able to incorporate the mission.
Amazon pre-orders on the other hand, will be doled out with a Stan Lee challenge which will let gamers play as the legendary comic book writer for the first time ever. This mission has Lee collect pages of his latest script in a race around Manhattan. Moreover, his witty banter will also be present throughout the challenge which is said to comprise a surprise at its end. Akin to the Rhino Challenge, this one too will be available to be unlocked only for the PS3 and Xbox 360.
Along with these two consoles, The Amazing Spider-Man will also be outed for the Wii, the DS as well as the 3DS. It is all set to introduce a new Web Rush mechanic that’ll supposedly let players swing freely around Manhattan while encountering a variety of criminal activities and fighting classic Marvel Super Villains. This title has its story set after the events of the upcoming movie of the same name.
