The acclaimed Monster World IV which has till now, only been released in Japan for the Mega Drive, has been spawned on the Wii through this week’s Nintendo downloadable games. Another Virtual Console entrant comes in the form of Wonder Boy in Monster Land, while other games hitting Nintendo devices include Sudoku by Nikoli and Paul’s Shooting Adventure 2 as well as a Nintendo Video named Dinosaur Office: Office Party.
For those unaware, Monster World IV is a Mega Drive platformer which was launched exclusively in Japan in 1994. It involves the story of a young girl named Asha who happens to hear spirits calling out for help. This persuades her to leave her village and set out on an adventure into the Monster World where she finds friends in a small blue monster named Pepe and a magical Genie.
Wonder Boy in Monster Land on the other hand, is a yesteryear action RPG which has been ported to several platforms since its original 1987 Arcade release. The kingdom of Wonder Land has been invaded by a dragon called the MEKA dragon, and this has called upon Wonder Boy to save the lives of all the people in the territory.
Sudoku by Nikoli is basically a 3DS version of the well known number-placement puzzle game. This title includes a total of fifty puzzles and sells on the eShop at a price of 4.99 USD (approx. Rs. 265). Paul’s Shooting Adventure 2 is another handheld title in this week’s list of Nintendo downloadable games. It involves players controlling Paul and his twin brother, as they use their combined powers and weapons fight off the Insectians. It can be picked up from the DSi Shop as well as the eShop at 200 Points and 1.99 USD (approx. Rs. 105), respectively.
Both the Wii titles from this week’s Nintendo downloadable games are now available to be purchased through the Wii Shop Channel at 900 Points each.
