Resistance: Burning Skies Gets Dead Space and Gears of War Composers on-board

Resistance: Burning Skies for PS Vita is all set to lay down a few beats for gameplay now that Jason Graves and Kevin Riepl, the composers behind the music featured in Dead Space and Gears of War, respectively, have joined the club. The title is scheduled to make its debut for the handheld console on May 29, 2012.

Being a PS Vita port of the popular PS3 title, Burning Skies is set to take place somewhere between the events of the Resistance 2 and Resistance 3 storylines. This addition to the first person shooter franchise takes gamers back in time to the 1950′s in various locations. Based on an alternate universe, the game follows firefighter Tom Riley from New York City through his journey across the country’s eastern seaboard.

In search for his family, the game’s protagonist finds himself as an important element in the raging Chimeran assault. The main objective for players here is to fight for their lives in order to save all of humanity along with bands of survivors. The title in question is apparently the ‘first ever’ portable fps installment with dual-analog control for the handheld console. It comes bearing online multiplayer gameplay that supports up to a total of 8 players with 6 maps and 3 modes to choose from. There are front and rear touch controls and customizable weapons in tow as well.
