From the makers of the classic PSN title Warhawk, comes the Starhawk game which recently went live in PAL regions such as Mainland Europe, Australia and New Zealand. The Game is expected to launch in the UK and Ireland starting tomorrow.
Developed by LightBox Interactive, the title is said to be a ‘spiritual successor’ to the classic Warhawk game. It features a single-player campaign mode that takes place in the far depths of space. In a universe where humanity battles it out over a rare and dangerous resource called rift energy, the race is divided into two types. Rifters are the ones who mine the energy and the Outcasts are mutated humans exposed to the resource.
“The game offers a single-player campaign that provides the perfect opportunity to test your skills before going online. This for me is where the game really comes into life with a great variety of game modes and vehicles to wreak havoc on the battlefield. So, whether you fancy taking the ‘Sidewinder’ Jetbike for a spin or flying around in the massive transforming ‘Hawk,’ there is something to suit everyone,” states Richard Yap – European Product Manager, SCEE via the official PlayStation Europe blog.
The game follows Emmett Graves, a former Rifter partially mutated by the energy, as he sets on a quest to protect his home town of White Sands. Known mostly for its multiplayer gameplay, this title allows players to engage in combat with up to 32 opponents. And it come with offline and online co-op modes as well.
The Starhawk price amounts to USD 59.99 (Approx. Rs. 3,200) and it is available for purchase through online retailers such as Target, Best Buy, Amazon and GameStop.
