Batman: Arkham Asylum hits retail stores this Friday

Batman: Arkham Asylum has made a lot of noise even before it could set foot onto consoles. We had reported a few months back that the game release would be delayed from summer to fall. Eidos Inc. and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment are finally unleashing Batman: Arkham Asylum in stores this Friday. The title is developed by Rocksteady Studios for the PS3 and Xbox 360. The Games for Windows Live version will release on September 18, 2009.

Based on DC Comics’ Batman license, the title incorporates a diverse gameplay into its storyline. Batman: Arkham Asylum neatly merges all the ingredients of a great superhero game complete with dark adventure and action. The title sees the dark knight trapped in the psychiatric hospital for the criminally insane called Arkham Asylum. The clown prince of Crime, The Joker, has conspired along with the other deranged inmates of the asylum to get rid of Batman for good.
