Warner Bros Confirms Batman: Arkham Asylum Delay

A while ago, the Batman: Arkham Asylum Collectors Edition was revealed and detailed. The game was initially supposed to be released in the summer and was rumored to be delayed till this fall. According to IGN, Warner Bros. has now confirmed that Batman: Arkham Asylum will indeed be delayed.

Speaking to them, a spokesperson revealed, “Eidos Interactive and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment can today confirm that Batman: Arkham Asylum will be released at the end of summer 2009. This additional time will allow us to ensure Batman: Arkham Asylum is of the highest quality for gamers.”

As the summer ends in September, don’t expect the Dark Knight to battle the host of nutty characters using his trusty utility belt or his other amazing gadgets anytime before that. The third person action game was initially scheduled for a June 23, 2009 release for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
