Previously D3Publisher has announced game titles such as Onechanbara: Bikini Samurai Squad, Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution 2 and even Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords. Now D3Publisher has sent word about a new third person shooter called as Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard. The game has a sense of humor that you can call as satirical.
Pete Andrew is the VP of product development North America at D3Publisher. He comments, “Eat Lead parodies some of our fondest memories in classic gaming and pop culture, so gamers will have a laugh out loud experience everytime they pick-up the controller. With an original storyline, Eat Lead perfectly blends action and humor with rock solid gameplay for an experience like no other.”
Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard is about a videogame action hero Matt Hazard who gets a chance to prove that he is the king of shooters. The game basically parodies most genres of games as well as pop culture. Hazard gets his comeback role courtesy game publishers Marathon Megasoft. But what happens is that everything stops being a game and becomes reality! With a mysterious QA then aiding him in his mission, Matt Hazard should now take on a host of video game characters.
According to D3Publisher, Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard pays homage to yesteryear games and reflects videogame history in a next-gen package. The game features radically-changing environments and hack effects. There are also upgradeable weapons, different interactive melee and a strategic cover system.
Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard has been developed by Vicious Cycle Software. It will be built using the Vicious Engine 2. The game will release on the Xbox 360 and the PS3 in the first quarter of 2009. Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard has been written by Dave Ellis.
