Mass Effect 3 Extended Cut DLC Details Outed, New Earth Add-On Revealed

A supposedly leaked description about the Mass Effect 3 Extended Cut DLC – an expansion of the game’s much criticized ending, has come to the fore. Moreover, some information about an unannounced Earth multiplayer DLC has also surfaced.

Kotaku has managed to find a Reddit post which contains details about these two DLCs. Apparently, it has all been posted by the same user who had outed the game’s Rebellion Pack before its official announcement. Description about the Extended Cut add-on discloses that additional scenes will form part of the epilogue which will touch upon the impact of Shepard’s choices on the future of the galaxy.

This also goes on to point out that no amount of gameplay will be included in this DLC which will go for free to all those who own the game. On the other hand, the supposed Earth multiplayer add-on is said to kick in mods, gear as well as new maps for Rio, Vancouver and London. A total of three weapons namely, a Piranha assault shotgun, an Acolyte pistol and a Typhoon light machine gun will also be included along with six human N7 classes – Destroyer, Paladin, Demolisher, Slayer, Shadow and Fury.

This game was released in March this year for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. Created by RPG-veteran BioWare, the title marks the end of the Mass Effect trilogy which is occupied by two other acclaimed games. At this year’s E3, publisher EA announced that this latest entrant will also be released for the Wii U when the console comes out this holiday season.

No launch dates for either the Mass Effect 3 Extended Cut or the Earth multiplayer pack have been unearthed yet.
