The Splatters Ready for Xbox Live Arcade Debut

April 11, 2012 will be the date on which indie developer SpikySnail Games’ first outing on Xbox Live Arcade will be released in the form of The Splatters. This physics-driven puzzler asks gamers to control liquid-filled creatures, whose only purpose in life is to die.

The unusual physics gameplay that’s on offer with the title is said to furnish players with almost endless possibilities to finish a level. New tricks will be available to be learnt in order to better navigate through challenging levels. Moreover, with these skills, gamers will even be able to coordinate exhibitions of acrobatic creatures, liquids, stunts and explosions.

Sagi Koren, co-founder of SpikySnail, revealed, “The Splatters is coming in a few weeks and our years of development work have resulted in a game we’re really proud to offer on XBLA as the first of many unique SpikySnail titles. We’re prepping the final aspects of the game so players can get in and start setting new records in the game on launch day.”

Scores for each of the levels will be determined by how neatly orchestrated the the exhibitions are. Performing stunts with every move will enable gamers to hit big combos and please the crowd. Another feature that’s included within the title is the Splatter TV, which lets players share their best game clips with friends and the rest of the world.

The Splatters is slated to be made available for the Xbox 360 through Xbox Live Arcade on April 11. It will be purchasable on the service in exchange of 800 Microsoft Points.
