Mortal Kombat for PS Vita Gets Dated

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and NetherRealm Studios finally confirmed a definite release date of the upcoming Mortal Kombat for PS Vita. May 4, 2012 has been marked as the day when the fighting game will be launched in the U.K.

Announced for the first time in January this year, the handheld version of the extremely revered 2011 offering will come equipped with a number of added features. Of course, new gameplay traits will be made possible by the touch controls of the PS Vita, but the title also kicks in more fresh content that has been developed specially for this edition.

A new mode which wasn’t a part of the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions, will also make its way into this version. A total of one hundred and fifty new missions will be available for gamers to jump into with this mode. Moreover, touchscreen Fatalities will also be made possible by the PS Vita hardware, while the familiar X-ray attacks from the original game will retain themselves.

This version of the game also includes all the DLCs that form a part of the Komplete Edition of the title. Furthermore, Kratos will be available as a playable character as well. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment had first released this offering in April last year, and it has garnered substantial acclaim from a number of gaming publications including ours. Single-player as well as multiplayer modes are comprised within the title.

Mortal Kombat for PS Vita will be outed in the U.K. on May 4. It can be pre-ordered now at a price of 34.99 GBP (approx. Rs. 2,855).
