Earlier in the week, Atari unleashed its revamped Star Raider on the XBLA while Sega Rally Online is geared up to rush onto the platform later this month. EA and Vanguard Games have now expanded the passage with the launch of Gatling Gears on the Xbox Live Arcade.
Starring in this top-down shooter is Max Brawley who has been assigned the mission to crush the Empire through full online or offline co-op modes. With more than 30 unique areas to explore, the game lets players to fight for the greater cause as they try rushing past their adversaries on the leaderboard.
On this quest, gamers can gather the gears left behind by their foes to earn interesting upgrades for fortifying their mech. The title also allows them to put their skills under the scanner in the Survival mode which boasts of 10 chaotic rounds. Players will need to accomplish numerous objectives with or without a friend while dodging attacks unfurled by their enemies.
Gatling Gears is out on the Xbox Live Arcade at the price of 1200 Microsoft Points. Owing to the ongoing PSN troubles, the exact release date and pricing information of the game for the PS3 is unclear.
