Back in November, Square Enix vaguely disclosed that Supreme Commander 2 would unfurl into Europe and PAL territories by spring this year. Now the exact release dates of the game into Europe and PAL territories have been revealed. Supreme Commander 2 will be espied in stores on PC-DVD from March 5, 2010 while the Xbox 360 version will unveil on March 19, 2010.
The real-time strategy game is developed by Gas Powered Games and is noted to be the sequel to Supreme Commander which unveiled for the PC in 2007 and Xbox 360 the following year. Supreme Commander 2 is based 25 years in the future and comprises of an in-depth campaign mode, unique storyline, online multiplayer as well as loads of game enhancements. Gamers can go into battle with their customized armies and experimental war machines. They can opt from any one of the three commanders who represent a unique faction. Backed with a rich and intense story, gamers will be able to espy a new dimension of RTS gaming.

When the game was reported about earlier, not much details was known. Now the company has also disclosed a few features that have been incorporated into the game as well as the story. Supreme Commander 2 kicks off 25 years after the Infinite War ended. The recent assassination of the Colonial Defense Coalition president has got its members namely the United Earth Federation, the Cybran Nation and The Illuminate all blaming each other.
“Supreme Commander 2 has already achieved fantastic recognition across media and the RTS community winning E3 Best Strategy Game 2009 from IGN, 1UP and GameSpot. We’re thrilled to be working with Gas Powered Games to release a game that really pushes the genre’s gameplay and storyline expectations to a new level,” said Larry Sparks, Vice President Brands PAL Region of Square Enix Ltd.
The game is packed with more than 18 missions in single-player mode while allowing players to even go online for a multi-player experience. Gamers can take the war to any terrain with land, air and naval units traversing over spectacular environments which is acquired through an all-new rendering technology and enhanced RTS controls. They can upgrade their armies with new technology and an arsenal of weapons which can be used during battle. The game also sports a better player feedback in Strategic Zoom view.
Supreme Commander 2 is scheduled to hit Europe and PAL territories by March. The exact pricing details are still under wraps for now.
