Rocket League gets its price and release date outlined for India

A surprise hit from last year, Rocket League is all set to get a disc launch worldwide and its price and release date details for India are finally out. It will be made available for the PS4 and the Xbox One on June 24 in exchange of Rs 2000.

A PC launch is not on the cards for the disc copy, yet it can be grabbed via Steam at just Rs 565. That major price difference occurs occurs because the new console version is actually the Rocket League: Collector’s Edition which ships with lots of add-on content that was released for the game after its launch last year.

This includes DLCs like Supersonic Fury, Revenge of the Battle-Cars and Chaos Run, all of which add new cars and content to the main game. Purchasing all these packs on PC along with the game itself brings the cost to about Rs 1250 which is still better than the Rs 2000 price of the disc versions for the PS4 and the Xbox One.

It has seen more than four million sales till now, which is great for a game that has been made on such a small scale. It was recently also blessed with a free Hoops mode which changes the sport from football to basketball.

Look out for Rocket League’s disc copies in India on June 24. They have already been made available for pre-order via the Games The Shop website.
