The arrival of winter has pumped up the season for snowboarding across snow-clad mountains. Bringing the essence of this chilly adventure into living rooms, EA has revealed the return of the SSX series. Revamping the classic snowboarding franchise for a new breed of gamers, the company is currently packing a punch in its next iteration, SSX: Deadly Descents.
This new game is said to boast of some unpredictable mountainous terrains on the planet. The title features the strange and knotty realms of the Himalayas as well as the solid ice ranges of Antartica. The first goal for gamers in this title is to endure such extreme temperatures and regions while accomplishing tasks in a stylish manner.
“An entire genre was born from the original SSX a decade ago, and it’s time to reboot one of the most popular franchises of all-time in an unpredictable and unexpected way,” remarked Peter Moore, President, EA Sports. “Fans have been begging for this since the launch of this generation of consoles, and we have an experience that will be worth the wait. This franchise has always been about racing, tricks, characters and fun – SSX: Deadly Descents will deliver all of that, and more, on a global scale, with rich online experiences, and with the sense of adventure never before imagined on a snowboard.”
In the game, players will set out on a mission with their team to attain the status of the first descendants from these threatening mountainous domains. They have been pitted not only against uneven and fatal regions but also strong competitors. As they traverse across different parts of the world, gamers will need to face some very tough challenges.
The EA Canada team is now crafting SSX: Deadly Descents for the Xbox 360 and PS3.
