Ubisoft has joined forces with two-time Olympic Gold Medalist Shaun White to come up with a brand new offering. The company’s partnership with the dual-sport professional athlete has resulted in a new game dubbed as Shaun White Skateboarding. This is not their first endeavor together. Back in 2008, they brought to the gaming terrain a new sports game entitled Shaun White Snowboarding.
“As we’ve just seen at the Olympics, Shaun is a one-of-kind action sports athlete. Shaun’s enthusiasm for skateboarding shines through in this truly unique game,” commented Tony Key, U.S. senior vice president of sales and marketing at Ubisoft.
“I can’t describe how excited I am about the skateboard game. We’ve been working on it for a while now and it’s ready to melt minds,” stated Shaun White.
The forthcoming title is noted to be the first skateboarding game in the acclaimed Shaun White video game franchise. As the company suggests, the title is set to offer players an original twist where they will espy a new side of skateboarding and the action-sports genre on the whole. Shaun White is reportedly the first athlete to be bestowed with gold medals in both snowboarding and skateboarding at the Summer and Winter X Games.
The upcoming sports title Shaun White Skateboarding from Ubisoft Montreal is expected to unveil into stores this holiday 2010. The price of the game is still a bit hazy.
