Resistance: Burning Skies Launches Tomorrow for the PS Vita

Resistance: Burning Skies is finally here, and gamers in North America will be able to pick it up tomorrow for their Vita systems either through retail or via PSN. New games releasing this week for the PS3 include Batman: Arkham City Game of the Year Edition, DiRT Showdown and Atelier Meruru: The Apprentice of Arland.

Resistance: Burning Skies is a new game in the extremely revered series and it has been crafted with Vita-specific features that take advantage of the system’s dual analog sticks and other traits. Its story revolves around Tom Riley, a firefighter from New Jersey who’s thrown headfirst into Chimeran war. It will be launched exclusively for the Vita as a digital download as well as in the form of Game Cards.

The Batman Arkham City: Game of the Year Edition will be seen releasing tomorrow only in the US (coming to UK this September) for the PS3. It comprises seven maps, three playable characters and 12 skins that weren’t a part of the original title. Moreover, it will even kick in the new Harley Quinn’s Revenge DLC which is also to be released individually tomorrow.

Codemasters Southam’s DiRT Showdown has been described as an expansion to Dirt 3′s gymkhana competition and will be available at retail this week for consoles. Atelier Meruru: The Apprentice of Arland, an RPG from Japanese developer Gust also hits the PS3 with its alchemic role-playing experience.

Three previously released games – Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, Pure Chess and Rayman: Origins, will also be seen arriving on the PSN for the first time. Rayman: Arena is the PS2 Classic coming tomorrow to the PS Store, along with a PS Vita demo of Gravity Rush and a PS3 demo of Mad Riders.

Resistance: Burning Skies will be available for purchase for the PS Vita at a price of 39.99 USD (approx. Rs. 2,215).
