In celebration of the game turning out to be a ”˜multi-award’ winning release, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment will be launching the Batman: Arkham City Game of the Year Edition in September this year. The pack will include a range of post release add-on content as well as a new DLC named Harley Quinn’s Revenge, and will be made available only for the PS3 and Xbox 360.
Arkham City managed to grab an overall rating of 9.5/10 in our review of it. Launched for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC late last year, this game is being claimed as one of the highest reviewed titles of 2011. Harley Quinn’s Revenge will mark the final chapter in the offering, and will supposedly proffer players with more than two hours of fresh gameplay. This mission enables gamers to play as both Batman and Robin, as they try to uncover Harley’s evil plan and shut the gates on the urban mega-prison forever.
Apart from this add-on, the GotY edition will even kick in five previously released DLC packs. These include the Catwoman Pack, the Nightwing Bundle Pack, the Robin Bundle Pack, the Challenge Map Pack and the Arkham City Skins Pack. In its entirety, the added content allows gamers to dive into seven maps, play as three different characters and dress up Batman in twelve skins, and all this aside from the original retail release.
Batman: Arkham City Game of the Year Edition will be outed in the UK on September 7, 2012 for the PS3 and Xbox 360. The Harley Quinn DLC will however, be made available to purchase individually on May 30 through PSN and Xbox Live.
