Metal Gear Solid HD Collection Headed for PS Vita

Apart from the PS3 and Xbox 360, the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection will soon go playable on the PS Vita. An exact summer release date for the same is yet to be announced by Konami, but the publisher has confirmed that this set will not include MGS: Peace Walker HD for obvious reasons – it’s a PSP title.

This means the collection will come equipped with two of the most appreciated games in Hideo Kojima’s excellent series of stealth action offerings. These include Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, which made their PS2 debuts in 2001 and 2004, respectively. Moreover, the latter title also made its way onto the 3DS recently, complete with optimized controls and new features.

The PS Vita version of this HD collection will ship with touchscreen controls, as well as graphical updates. Moreover, these titles will also comprise support for PSN trophies. The rebalanced user interfaces of these games use Kojima Productions’ unique ‘Transfarring’ system for data sharing with PS3 consoles.

The Metal Gear Solid HD Collection will be outed for the PS Vita by Konami during the summer of this year. It can be pre-ordered currently at a price of 39.99 USD (approx. Rs. 1,990).
