PlayStation Vita Stocks on 11 Games for February Launch

PlayStation Vita

Since Sony’s next handheld gaming console is not likely to stack up on shelves all alone, the PlayStation Vita will be accompanied by 11 titles including Unit 13 and MotorStorm RC, at the time of launch in February, 2012. What’s more, players will be able to take a bite into the latest AR technology as well.

Designed by Zipper Interactive, Unit 13 is a third-person shooter game which is designed from scratch for the PS Vita. Said to take place in some of the most hostile regions in the world, players will have to stop terrorists, dictators, gunrunners, drug traffickers and warlords from creating havoc in the Arabian Peninsula, the Horn of Africa and South Asia.

Furthermore, the PlayStation Vita is claimed to be the first console to use the WAAR (Wide Area Augmented Reality) technology. Six augmented reality cards will also be available at the time of release along with a few freely downloadable games from the PlayStation Store.

The PlayStation Vita will be available in Europe, Middle East, Africa and Australasia starting February 22, 2012 along with 11 titles such as Uncharted: Golden Abyss, WipEout 2048, Reality Fighters, Little Deviants, ModNation Racers: Road Trip, Everybody’s Golf, Escape Plan, Hustle Kings, Top Darts and the two newly announced ones namely Unit 13 and MotorStorm RC.
