Gamers who have a fetish for racing RC cars can certainly look forward to MotorStorm RC, which was announced recently for PSN and the PS Vita. The game’s first trailer was released yesterday on the official PlayStation blog along with detailed information regarding its offerings.
A blend of classic racing and modern connectivity is what the developer of MotorStorm RC is claiming it to be. Each of the four MotorStorm worlds as well as the series’ eight vehicle classes make their way into the game, besides challenges, different race types and other features. The radio-controlled cars in this game can be raced across eight diverse categories that comprise Buggies, Superminis, Racing Trucks, Rally Cars, Muscle Cars, Supercars, Monster Trucks and Big Rigs.
Paul Rustchynsky, Game Director, MotorStorm RC, commented on the blog saying, “Everyone who has played MotorStorm RC so far says it really gets you hooked, with an addictive, hypnotic core experience – just like the best arcade games. Also like the best arcade games, stages take just moments to load, giving it that ‘just one more go’ quality, especially when you can play at home on PS3 and then continue your progress on the go with Vita.”
Four classic locations from the MotorStorm series as well as sixteen more tracks are included in this game, which also kicks in four-player multiplayer support on the PS3. Another interesting feature is that, downloading this title on the PS3 will provide gamers with full access to it on the PS Vita, and vice versa. The Motorstorm series was last in the news when a large update for MotorStorm Apocalypse was released to imbibe the game with PS Move compatibility and various other traits.
MotorStorm RC is slated to release in the U.S. during the spring of 2012 for PSN and the PS Vita. It has been confirmed that the game’s European version will act as a launch title for the PS Vita is is due to come out on February 22, 2012.
