Players can now share their customized vehicles through the title’s website. They can even download other peoples’ designs to their games. These designs work automatically across all vehicle types. A new Mode Editor allows players to customize their gameplay by crafting some inventive game modes within the MotorStorm template. These modes can then be used for online as well as offline play.

Daimion Pinnock, Producer, SCEA, shared on the blog, “The possibilities are vast: Tweak the standard Race mode so that vehicle attacks are disabled…or set-up a five-round Eliminator mode, on mirrored tracks, for 15 Monster Trucks and 1 Buggy, with moon gravity, infinite boost and no brakes…or do something completely unexpected – we can’t wait to see what you come up with!”

The update even adds support for PS Move and certain steering wheels to the game. These include Logitech G25, Logitech G27, Logitech Driving Force GT and Logitech Driving Force Pro. Tweaks have also been made to the racer ‘clan tags,’ gambling and lobby privacy features of the title. Additionally, the game’s website will now go mobile and enable players to keep tabs on their performances even from a phone.

The MotorStorm Apocalypse update is now available through PSN. Like we mentioned earlier, online gamers will receive a prompt, accepting which would facilitate the download on the respective PS3 units.
