In the game the Hero must save the world, 30 seconds at a time. Half-Minute Hero combines old-school visuals with a modern day twist, and in each level, a Dark Lord discovers a new way to destroy the Hero’s world. The Hero must solve a series of puzzles and level-up to defeat the massive end-of-level boss. All in 30 seconds, each time.

“Despite being firmly grounded in the fantasy RPG mould, Half-Minute Hero is a game unlike any other,” said Martin Defries, managing director, Rising Star Games. “It’s impossible to play without a massive grin on your face. But don’t let that fool you – this is one deep and engrossing game, with a substantial single player adventure and countless multiplayer options. It’s a game which keeps on giving – but like an inexperienced teenager: 30 seconds at a time.”

The game features four different gaming styles and in-game characters, as well as more than a hundred missions. Multiplayer options cater to up to four players using ad hoc mode. Half-Minute Hero features about 20 ours of gameplay, and will be available exclusively for the PSP across Europe on February 12, 2010. Prices are not known.
