Last year’s action-adventure masterpiece The Last of Us will be taking the PS4 leap this summer; so says a Sony employee from Turkey. This PS3-exclusive had astonished us with its brilliantly told story, its flawless gameplay and its glaring visuals, and it seems the last among those factors is set get a huge boost thanks to the next-gen console’s advanced graphical capabilities.
According to IGN, this piece of news was let out by PlayStation’s Eurasia’s software market manager Sercan Sulun who was talking to Turkish CNN. The translated statement reads, ‘There is no information about a new The Last of Us game but I can share this knowledge; as of this summer, The Last of Us will be on the PS4. Both on PSN and physically.’
Sulun has moreover also stated that the PS4 version of this game will come bundled with the Left Behind DLC pack which was released by Sony earlier this year. The Last of Us was one of the most successful games last year, and it’d make perfect sense for Sony to think that a version of it for its latest console should be a good idea.
This action-adventure title benefits from superb survival horror elements and its diverse and flexible combat mechanics add to the flavor as well. A report earlier this year had also confirmed that a movie based on The Last of Us is under development at the moment.
