Goat Simulator launch trailer is a cut above the rest

When the concept itself is as wacky as Goat Simulator, a game is bound to catch eyeballs. And with a trailer that mocks one of the best game trailers of all time, this title has generated all the buzz is requires to sell like hot cakes once it’s released through Steam within a few days from now. The launch video we’ve embedded below is majestic and hilarious at the same time, and that’s what we think will best describe the game when it’s out. It has a strong reference to one of the trailers of Dead Island which had garnered more praises for its trailer than its actual offerings.

Goat Simulator started off as a joke, but its developers decided to go with their idea and develop a full-fledged game out of it. It will be released on April 1 through Steam, but those who decide to pre-order it prior to that will be given early access to it on March 29. This is reason enough to assure us that it’s not an April fool’s joke.

Its Steam page is live now, and if you wish to have a good laugh you should definitely read its description. ‘Goat Simulator is the latest in goat simulation technology, bringing next-gen goat simulation to YOU,’ reads one of its lines. As for what the game contains, well it’s a Goat Simulator which allows you to play as a goat, wreck stuff and brag about it, according to its makers. Developer Coffee Stains Studios has also promised millions of bugs which have been retained instead of cleaning them, for hilarity purposes.
