A set of distinct The Last of Us special editions have been showcased by Sony for sale in North American and European regions. Extra items, comics, in-game boosts and a lot more has been packed into them by the publisher. These are slated to arrive along with the standard version of the game on May 7, 2013, and are now available for pre-order slapped with the price tags we’ve mentioned in the space below.
The Last of Us special editions for North America are highlighted by the Post-Pandemic Edition which kicks in a 12-inch premium statue of protagonists Joel and Ellie, made by Project Triforce. Moreover, a Steelbook edition of the game and issue 1 of the American Dreams comic book series that explores Ellie’s backstory will also be found in it.
Two DLC packs will be there as well. First among them is the Sights and Sounds Pack which comprises the official game soundtrack, a PS3 dynamic theme and PSN avatars. Also included is the Survival DLC pack, the contents of which are as follows: bonus XP for multiplayer, melee booster, in-game currency, customizable character items and the availability of Joel and Ellie skins after the campaign is completed. Its price has been pinned down at 159.99 USD (approx. Rs. 8,601).
And then the North American region also has a Survival Edition which comes equipped with a hardcover artbook containing 170 pages of designs that went into making the title. Besides, it also includes the American Dreams comic issue, a Steelbook cover featuring artwork of Ellie on one side and Joel on the other, and lastly, the Sights and Sounds DLC pack. This edition will cost 79.99 USD (approx. Rs. 4,300).
Coming to the European versions, they are virtually two same packages but with different brandings. Gamers there can choose to go for either the Joel or Ellie editions of the title. Their contents include a mini artbook, issue one of the American Dreams comics, premium outer and inner packaging based on the characters, a screen print effect poster, a DualShock 3 skin, an LBP skin, the Survival DLC pack and the Sights and Sounds DLC pack. These editions will be selling in the UK at 79.99 Euros (approx. Rs. 4,300).
