The much anticipated Aliens: Colonial Marines has set foot on the list of PS3 releases for this week. Persona 4 Arena is also ready to arrive for the console along with a number of other titles, including the original Twisted Metal and its latter iteration, Twisted Metal: Black. The main highlight among the latest PS3 releases, Aliens: Colonial Marines, is of course based on the ever so popular Aliens franchise, and has its story revolve around a United States Colonial Marine squad which must prepare to counter an assault from the foreign creatures. This game from Sega adopts the first-person shooter approach, and kicks in a single-player mode as well as a co-op mode with support for a total of 4 players at once. Moreover, competitive multiplayer also forms part of its offerings. The game will be released in North America via retail tomorrow.
On the PS Store side of things, lots of titles have been lined up for launch by Sony this week. These include a PS Vita game dubbed Ecolibrium which is part of the ‘Discovery Apps’ initiative from PlayStation. Besides, the PS3 will even be getting YU-GI-OH! 5D’s Decade Duels Plus, apart from PS2 Classics such as Rebel Raiders: Operation Nighthawk and Twisted Metal: Black. Last among this week’s main PS releases is the original Twisted Metal which will be launched as a PS one Classic.
