Borderlands to be made Available for Free to all PS Plus Members

Another high-profile title is all set to join the Instant Game Collection section on the PS Store in the form of Borderlands, which will be offered for free to all those to subscribe to PS Plus. It will be arriving on September 4, and from today till that date, discounts on various PS3 games are also to be availed of by these gamers.

As its sequel gets ready for its release on September 18, this might be a good time for fans to jump once again into the world of Pandora in order to get themselves well acquainted with the story. This amalgam of first-person shooter and RPG genres was first launched in 2009, and has since garnered an immense fan following. For PS Plus members, an add-on bundle of the game will also be sold with a 50 percent discount.

As far as today’s PS Store update is concerned, Lights, Camera, Party! will be offered to Plus subscribers at half its price – 15 USD (approx. Rs. 835). Another discount will be on Space Channel 5: Part 2 which will go 40 percent off, with its price coming down to 2.99 USD (approx. Rs. 165). Another deal going live today is a half-off on Spelunker HD (game and DLC). It will cost 5 USD (approx. Rs. 280).

Apart from the free download of Borderlands, on September 4, PS Plus members will also be getting discounts on Daytona USA and Greed Corp. A 40 percent price cut on the former game will bring its price down to 2.99 USD (approx. Rs. 165), while the latter will get a 50 percent reduction and sell at 2.50 USD (approx. Rs. 140).
