September 4, 2012 marks the date on which the Battlefield 3 Armored Kill expansion will be making its much awaited debut. Premium subscribers on the PS3 will be the first ones to get this content, following which it will be doled out to Premium members on the Xbox 360 and PC. And it is after this that it will be released for usual paid downloads, first for the PS3 and then for the other two platforms.

This third expansion has its roots set in vehicular combat. It will add a total of four new maps to the game’s multiplayer, with one of them apparently being the biggest map in Battlefield history. And of course, there will also be fresh vehicles that include tanks, ATVs and mobile artillery. Moreover, five new vehicle unlocks to the base game will also be introduced by the expansion. Superiority is the name of the new game mode that will be infused into the title by the DLC.
Premium members on the PS3 will get to grab this content on September 4, while those on the Xbox 360 and PC will get it on September 18. Subsequent to these releases, it will be made available for usual paid downloads. These will go live for the PS3 on September 18. And for the Xbox 360 and PC, they will start being dished out on September 25.
The Battlefield 3 Armored Kill expansion is set to go for free to all those who’ve purchased the Premium subscription that is available for a value-added price of 49.99 USD (approx. Rs. 2,790). For others, it will sell as 14.99 USD (approx. Rs. 835).
