This Week’s PS Store update is all about Holiday Discounts

The latest PS Store update has been disclosed by Sony, and it’s filled to the brim with discounts that are targeted at cashing in on the holiday spirit. Motorstorm RC Complete Edition has been launched this week, and can be purchased now for the PS3 as well as the PS Vita. And aside from deeper discounts, PS Plus subscribers are also receiving free copies of this year’s indie hit, Retro City Rampage for the PS3 or the PS Vita.

The Motorstorm RC Complete Edition comes equipped with the game as well as all its DLC packs till date. It is available to purchase for the PS3 and PS Vita at a price of 11.99 USD (approx. Rs. 660). Another big piece of information is that Resident Evil 6 has let go of a chunk of its actual cost, as it now sells on PSN at 39.99 USD (approx. Rs. 2,200) instead of the earlier 59.99 USD (approx. Rs. 3,300).

PS Plus

For PS Plus subscribers, this December is going to be quite a busy month it seems, as heaps of discounts are available for them right now, apart from the free download of Retro City Rampage of course. Moreover, they are now getting 30 percent price cuts on games like Ratchet & Clank Future: Quest for Booty, Galaga Legions DX, Mortal Kombat, Duke Nukem Forever, Simpsons The Arcade Game, Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational Vita, Mafia II, Killzone 3 Multiplayer, Unit 13, Journey, Papo & Yo, Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater HD and Starhawk.

And the Holiday Essentials Sale has discounts for usual PSN account holders as well. These apply to Duke Nukem Forever, Journey, Killzone 3 Multiplayer, Mafia II and Mortal Kombat. Furthermore, other titles listed above, as well as some more games have also been granted price cuts by Sony through this PS Store update. And alongside these discounts, new DLC packs for Motorstorm RC and F1 Race Stars have made their way to PSN as well.
