The Forza Horizon January Recaro Pack has been disclosed by Turn 10 Studios, along with its release date which is set for January 1. The DLC will be launched through Xbox Live with its price tagged at 400 Microsoft Points, but it will be available for download free of cost to all those who possess the game’s Season Pass. Moreover, these players will also be getting a bonus car which is available exclusively for them.
The Forza Horizon January Recaro Pack includes a total of six cars that can be driven by players who acquire it. These include the 2012 Cadillac Escalade ESV, the 1983 GMC Vandura G-1500, the 2012 Lotus Exige S, the 2012 Lexus LFA Nürburgring Edition, the 2005 Mercedes-Benz SLR and the 1995 Ford Mustang Cobra R. Furthermore, as mentioned above in the space, Season Pass holders get an extra treat in the form of the 2009 Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster.
This spin-off of sorts to the long-standing Forza series of racing video games was launched by Microsoft exclusively for the Xbox 360 in October this year. It has been developed by British studio, Playground Games, but of course, with inputs from series-creator, Turn 10 Studios. It is an open-road game that revolves around a festival dubbed the Horizon Festival. Gameplay elements that have come to the define the franchise, like a large variety of cars, realistic physics and high definition graphics are all present within it.
This is the fifth racing game to have been released under the Forza brand. The first among the lot was launched for the Xbox in 2005, whereas its sequel came out in 2007, this time for the Xbox 360. Both titles managed to grab considerable acclaim, and the same continued for the third iteration which came out in 2009. The latest main game in the series was Forza Motorsport 4 which was launched only last year to immense acclaim, with its new features that included integration with the Xbox 360’s Kinect accessory.
The Forza Horizon January Recaro Car Pack will be made available through Xbox Live at 400 Microsoft Points. A number of other such DLC packs can also be procured for the game by those who own it.
